How the online PPTX merger processes files locally
MergePPTX is designed around browser-local processing. When you choose a PPTX or DOCX file, JavaScript running in the active tab reads the Office Open XML package, displays the file structure needed for ordering, and builds the merged output in memory. The file content is not submitted to a MergePPTX application endpoint.
Closing the browser tab, clearing the workspace, or refreshing the page removes the active working state. MergePPTX cannot recover a prior presentation because it does not maintain user accounts, cloud storage, or a document history.
Personal data collected by the free PowerPoint merger website
The merge tools do not ask for a name, account, payment method, or document metadata. Contacting support by email is optional. If you send a message, your email provider and ours process the address, routing information, and content needed to deliver and answer it.

Hosting logs, cookies, and PPTX merger analytics
Like most websites, infrastructure providers may process basic request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp, response status, and security signals. This technical information delivers the website and protects it from abuse; it does not include the contents selected in the local merge workspace.
MergePPTX does not require advertising cookies for its merge functions. If privacy-friendly aggregate analytics are introduced, this policy will be updated before they are used and applicable consent controls will be provided.
Third-party links from the MergePPTX document tools
Links to external websites operate under their own privacy and security practices. Opening an external link sends a normal web request to that provider. MergePPTX does not control third-party content, retention, or cookies.
Data security for browser-based PPTX file merging
Local processing reduces exposure because source files do not need to cross a network for the merge operation. It does not remove every risk: browser extensions, compromised devices, shared download folders, and files containing malicious or damaged content can still affect privacy or reliability. Keep your browser updated and avoid processing unknown files.
